Jim started James J. Cox Insurance Services in 1993 with the goal of providing superior customer service. His attention to detail, depth of knowledge, and expertise have allowed him to meet the needs of a diverse group of clients. Jim’s roots in Northern California farming go back to the 1870’s when his great-grandfather purchased property on the Feather River in Butte County. After graduating from California State University, Chico, it was a natural choice for Jim to specialize in insuring farms and other agribusinesses. Over the years, his hard work and professionalism have allowed him to significantly expand the agency to serve a wide variety of commercial businesses in Northern California, including non-profit organizations, water districts, and artisan contractors.
Jim has earned the professional designations of Accredited Adviser in Insurance (AAI), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), and Certified Risk Manager (CRM).
